Winter Book Fair - Hats Off to Reading!

The Winter Book Fair is right around the corner!  Plan NOW to attend Castle Rock Elementary's Scholastic Book Fair, beginning Monday, December 13, 2010.

The Book Fair is a wonderful time to explore affordable books and products with your children.  Plus, a portion of the sales benefits our school directly, so this is also a perfect opportunity to buy those holiday gifts and support Castle Rock at the same time.

Thanks to the generosity of Castle Rock students, families, and faculty, the Fall Book Fair generated $2,095.  Our goal for the Winter Book Fair is to generate another $2,000!

If you are interested in volunteering to work at the Book Fair, please contact Paula Emanuele at paemanuele@gmail.com.

Book Fair Hours:

12/13     8am-3pm
12/14     8am-3pm
12/15     8am-3pm
             & 6pm-8pm
12/16     8am-3pm

Can't wait to see you there!

Thank you for shopping at Fresh&Easy Night

We appreciate your continued support of the Community Club in its efforts to raise funds for our school.  Special thanks to our wonderful parents for volunteering to bag groceries and collect receipts.

No eggs were cracked while they were on duty.

Take Charge of Education with Target!

We've discovered a terrific way to raise funds for our school. It's super-easy, and all you have to do is use your Target® Visa® Credit or Debit Card (the REDcard).

Each time you use the card, Castle Rock will receive a percentage of the amount of each purchase in the form of a cash donation from Target through the Take Charge of Education® program.  As a bonus, YOU will receive 5% off your entire purchase.

It's easy. Just visit target.com/tcoe, or call 1-800-316-6142 to apply for a card and designate Castle Rock as your school.  If you already have a Target® Visa® Credit or Debit Card, you can still go to the site or call and designate Castle Rock as your school.

So, if you're going to Target anyway, please consider using your Target® Visa® Credit or Debit Card.  Grandparents, alumni, neighbors and friends can take part, too.

So far, Castle Rock has received almost $6000 from this program.  There are already 21 Castle Rock families participating.  Sign up today!

About Us

The Community Club is YOUR VOICE at Castle Rock Elementary. Any parent or family member of a Castle Rock student is strongly encouraged to join. Community Club works along side our fine teachers and staff to raise much needed funds, as well as assist with various school activities.

Funds raised by the Community Club’s Educational Fund Drive, Fall Fundraiser, Knights on the Run (jog-a-thon) have provided computers, field trip entrance fees and buses, assemblies, lunch area and playground equipment, Meet the Masters art program, emergency preparedness supplies, and cash allocations for school materials/supplies for our teachers, librarian, and resource specialists.

Community Club cannot exist without donations and volunteers! There are countless opportunities for parents who wish to help, many of which require only a limited commitment of time. If you would like to become involved, please attend one of our meetings. They are held the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Music Room at Castle Rock. Everyone is welcome!

Please join and support your Community Club and help us give our children the best educational experience possible!
